This question(s) have been haunting me for several weeks now. I don't want to share all that is on my heart because if if you were to attend church at Mt. Pleasant Baptist in Monroe, NC, you wouldn't need to come. :-)
There is an issue that we as American Christians need to consider. When God saved you, what were you sved from? Presumming that God has saved you? That is for another blog. When someone from another religion comes to Christ, they are having to give up something so great: their culture, their faimlies, their livelihood, and so on. When someone from America comes to Christ, what do they have to give up? Anything? We live in a "Christian" culture! We are so blessed as a culture! What do we do with the Scriptures where Jesus speaks of sacrifice? Anything? This is the heart of Christ words! When we truly examine what Christ spoke of when He was calling out those who would follow Him, the challenge was great! When Jesus was here in his earthly ministry, He called people out of their "idol" worship in order to follow Him. Where is your "idol" worship? As a a follower of Christ, are we whole-hearted, devoted followers? Or are we just casual followers? Just think about it? Comment if you feel led! If you want to hear more and live in the Charlotte/Monroe area, join us Sunday morning at Mt. Pleasant Baptist for the morning service.
